Reminders:

• Our field trip to Paradise Pumpkin Patch is Wednesday, October 31st. Please come to school as usual. We will leave at 8:30. Parents can meet us in the academic center around 8:20. Students need to wear their Lakeside field trip shirts on this trip. No athletic clothes and please wear closed-toed shoes. If your child did not order lunch, they need to bring one from home.

Reminders:

• Please return report cards by Wednesday, October 24th. 
• Field Trip letters for the Springer Opera House on December 11th went home last week. We will be seeing Elf. I only have 10 parent tickets available. If you would like a parent ticket I must have your money and form as soon as possible and you must be willing to drive 2-3 students. I also ask that only one parent per family attend this field trip so that other parents have an opportunity to go with their child. Money is due by November 5th. Tickets are $10 per person. 
• The Fall Festival is Thursday, October 25th. 
• Makeup Picture Day is Monday, October 22nd.

Reminders:

• Field Trip forms and money were due on Friday. Please turn these in if you have not already done so by Monday. 
• We will be having our Spelling, Reading, and Math Tests from last week on Monday. I will send home graded papers late this week. 
• AR for the 1st 9 weeks has been extended until Monday. After Monday, students will have the same goal and range, but they will start over for the new 9 weeks. 
• Make up picture day will be October 22nd. 
• I will be at a doctor's appointment on Thursday of this week. If you need anything, please call the school or email me.

School is cancelled tomorrow due to the weather. They will make a decision about Thursday later on. Students should still complete their homework. If we have school on Thursday, we will still take our Reading and Spelling Tests on Friday. If school happens to be closed on Thursday, we will move the Reading and Spelling Tests to Monday. The Saxon Math Tests will be either Friday or Monday, depending on the school schedule. Enjoy the day off and be safe in the weather!

• The last day of AR for the 1st 9 weeks is October 10th. Students that meet their point and percentage goals will receive a bonus 100 in reading. 
• The last day of the 1st 9 weeks is October 11th. 
• Pumpkin Patch forms and money are due Friday, October 12th.
• Scholastic Book Orders are due October 19th. Please send a check or order online. Scholastic does not accept cash.
