Announcements

     Feb. 25 - March 1 is Dr. Seuss Week.  Students may wear crazy socks on Wednesday.

          Everyone should wear red or blue on Friday to celebrate our freedom to read what

          we choose.

     HOORAY - We met our goal of $105 for the Liberty's Legacy statues.

THANKS to the moms that helped with the Valentine's party.  All of our parents are real

     "sweethearts!"


Announcements

     No School on Feb. 18th - ENJOY time with family

     A substitute will be with the class on Feb. 19.   Since there is no school Monday, and I will be out

          on Tuesday, this week's spelling test will NOT have the three Challenge Words on it.

     We have raised $53 towards our goal of $105 for the Liberty's Legacy statues!!  HURRAY

      March 15 - Third Grade Ag Day (Farm Day) - We will go to the football field area behind

          Eufaula Elementary. This will be from 8:30 to 11:30.

     March 25 - 29  Spring Break

     On Friday your child will be bringing home their story about the Trail of Tears.  ENJOY!
 
     For Liberty's Legacy we have chosen three individuals as our community heroes.  We will

          be presenting them with a replica of the Statue of Liberty.  Each statue is $35.  We

          will be raising money between now and April 2 to purchase these.  The students

          discussed ways they might earn money to go towards this fundraiser.

     On Friday the students will be bringing home information about the American Symbols
   
          Poster Project.  This is not due until February 25.  Be creative and have fun with it!!

What We Are Learning

     Math - Temperatures on a Celsius Scale, Multiplying by 5,  Measuring Distances

     Grammar - Comparative and Superlative Adjectives, Suffixes

     Spelling - Words With Suffixes

     Reading - The Country Mouse and the City Mouse
