October 14, 2019

Dear Family,                                                                                              October 14, 2019
Can you believe the first nine weeks is almost over? Where does time go? I’m very proud of my students and their hard work.
This week in math we will begin adding 5 and 6; ordering three digit numbers; counting quarters; and finding half of a set.
Our reading story is Seasons of Change.  Please pay special attention to the vocabulary.  You’ll see last week’s test in our binders.  We read these totally on our own! We struggled a bit so I added ten points to everyone’s test grade.  (Remember you can look at your child’s grades on STI.) This Friday, I will read the test aloud again for any student wishing me to do so. If you have concerns, let me know.
In science, we are talking about the seasons. Dr. Mehaffey was SO IMPRESSED with our life-cycle posters!!
Dates to remember:
Oct. 14 (tonight): Dine at Willy T’s 4:00 until closing. Mention Lakeside!!
Oct. 15 at 3:00: AR testing ends for the 9-weeks
Oct. 17: Fall Festival 5:00-7:30
Oct. 18: Wear camo
Oct. 22: Picture money due. You may also order on-line. If you’re not ordering, you don’t need to return the proofs. Report cards come home this date.

                                                                        Loving and teaching,
                                                                              Miss Suzann
